In December 2025, Carl and Halie Dodrill published a paper on the history of the Pipe Organ Foundation in The American Organist (vol. 59, no. 12, pp. 56-61), the journal of the American Guild of Organists.
The article presented the Foundation as a model for the preservation of pipe organs. It tells how the Foundation got started, how it saved pipe organs which were being discarded, and how it rebuilt them using closely guided volunteer labor.
