An Article is Published on the Usefulness of the First Flute Ever Used in Pipe Organs

The Past President of the Pipe Organ Foundation, Carl Dodrill, has just published an article on the current use of the first pipes used in pipe organs. The forms which these pipes can take (including glass bottles) and their usefulness are explored in the article. It was published in the Journal of American Organbuilding (Nov. 2025, vol. 40, no. 4, pp. 12-18) which is published by the American Institute of Organbuilders (AIO).
